Ramses Man new Chairman of Dutch Fundraisers' Association (NGF)
Congraulations to Ramses Man, CEO of Delphi, on his appointment as Chairman of the NGF. Chosen by the general meeting in December, it was, with a difference of two votes, a close finish with candidate Peter Helmer, director of a charity lottery organisation. Ramses will succeed Marc Wortman, who could not entirely serve out his (second) period, because of the rapid development of Alzheimer Netherlands, where Marc is director.
At the request of the Donor Association, Delphi will be conducting research into the rise of small-scale private initiatives in the area of fundraising.
This will involve the use of Delphi's latest research tool, the Donor Safari, a new method of qualitative research. Donors, or potential donors, are visited and interviewed at their homes. This method offers unique opportunities for finding out more about donor preferences and their characteristics, and because the interviews are held in their homes, a very clear picture of the respondents emerges. The research is scheduled for completion in January 2006. A summary of the results will be published on the Delphi website, and elsewhere.
