Swiss Private Banking Meets Charitable Institutions
Thomas Hoepli, Initiator und Managing Director of Swiss Bridge, a Foundation which "supports cancer research worldwide".
The former Executive Director of a leading Swiss Investment Bank in London, subsequently CFO and Executive Vice President of a Swiss Private Bank in Zurich is convinced that there is "a vast pool of funds from worldwide private investors to be tapped for good causes". Thomas Hoepli will share his experience in designing capital market product and successful selling those to advisors of International Private Banking Clients.

Women with Inherited Wealth in Germany

For many women inheriting wealth means a major challenge on many levels - family conflicts, envy of partners and friends, no experience in managing wealth. Also, they need to learn how to become responsible and happy donors. EUConsult Secretary Marita Haibach will have recently published her new book on women with inherited wealth in Germany and will present her findings.

DIE HOEGE, located close to Bremen in Northern Germany, offers a space in which professional women artists can develop experimental and innovative work and present it to the public. The founder Barbara Reinhart will explain what this unique project does and why she donates her inherited capital and her time to DIE HOEGE.

Profile of the consultancy profession
David Saint, Action Planning
EUConsult member Action Planning recently carried out a survey of organisations in the voluntary/charity sector in the UK to find out their experiences of and attitudes towards the use of consultants. The findings were very interesting and the resulting report makes uncomfortable reading for consultants. David Saint will present the findings of the survey and highlight ways in which consultants need to be careful to deliver satisfaction to their clients.

Organisational structures as the cause of success and failure in NPOs

Organizations of the NPO sector live with the chance of success and the risk of failure like every other type of organizations. With so many legal and structural variations in use - is there a connection between structure and success? Are there typical "success structures" and how do they work? What is the role of people in this structures? And how do NPOs behave in crisis?

Enjoy a wonderful excursion by bus along the lake through vinyards, then over a pass to Gruyères (lunch), a village from the middle age. If you are interested you can visit a fromagerie to see how they make Swiss cheese.

A bus will drop delegates off at Lausanne railway station. From there it takes 40 minutes to get to Geneva airport by train.
