THE BUSINESS
What range of clients do you serve?
I work with both very small and the larger NPOs. Over the last two years, however, my focus has mainly been on university clients.
How has your business evolved since it was started?
I am pleased with the progress made so far which has been very promising.
Where will your consultancy be in a few years time?
I definitely want to remain a one-person-company and offer a better service this way. Perhaps it will be possible to achieve an even better balance in my activities.
Which opportunities and threats do you see for your work in the sector and for the development of NPOs?
In the near future, NPOs will have even less money to invest in fundraising consultancy, but on the other hand their financial needs will increase. Nevertheless, the potential of Switzerland’s donors can still increase.

Where and what did you study?
Tübingen/Germany, Fribourg/Switzerland: German Literature and Rhetoric.
How did you first get involved in NPO consultancy?
I worked for almost 6 years as the Fundraising Director of the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Society.
What interests you most about staying in the field?
Having contact with a lot of interesting people from really different social and cultural backgrounds. It is also very exciting being among the pioneers doing fundraising in our country.
What do you do to relax and forget your consultancy work? Travelling with my daughter, sailing with friends and enjoying my life in beautiful Zürich!
