- David Dixon sets up David Dixon Associates
David Dixon has dissolved his partnership with Katy Raines, who has recently had her first child, and he has established a new business which is called simply David Dixon Associates. This company has already begun trading and has clients in Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. Like its predecessor, DixonRaines, the new company will concentrate on marketing, fundraising and management consultancy in the culture and heritage sector. The website of the new company can be seen at www.ddassociates.co.uk (and shortly also at www.ddassociates.eu) and David’s new e-mail address is david.dixon(at)ddassociates.co.uk. However, older e-mail addresses are still active. David is currently recruiting staff for his new business.
David also continues as Director of The Phone Room Ltd, which has developed a new service called TPRConnect. Details of prospective donors are captured on web affiliate micro-sites and then phoned to convert them to brand new, regular donors to The Phone Room’s charity clients.

- IFC experiences increase in international clients
John Baguley’s International Fundraising Consultancy has seen an increase in enquiries from potential international clients in the past few months; mostly clients operating in several countries either reorganising and considering fundraising in new areas to make their partners more self-sufficient, or setting strategies to expand into new countries, whilst preserving their original income sources.
John has also been blogging on www.fundraising.co.uk. John reports that this is a novel experience and is quite amazed at how many people read blogs often within a few minutes of the posting. Read John’s blog: Stern Bears and the effect on fundraising
John adds that he is now using the LinkedIn professional networking site at www.linkedin.com and would recommend it to others in EUConsult.

- Important staff additions at Action Planning
There have been some important staff additions at Action Planning recently. The consultancy has welcomed aboard Robin Thomas, previously of Comptons and Brakeley, as Business Development Director. Robin's extensive track record in fundraising consultancy and capital appeals both in the UK and in Canada, where he comes from, together with his experience and knowledge of the sector, are already proving to be a valuable addition to the Action Planning team.
Cynthia Eguridu has joined Action Planning to lead the Marketing team as Director of Marketing. Cynthia has a wealth of experience in marketing as a staff member and consultant in the private, voluntary, social enterprise and BME sectors, and is working on Action Planning's marketing, as well as client contracts.
And last but not least, Action Planning’s Chairman, David Saint, recently contributed to Governance Magazine with an article on Vision and Mission Statements.
