Letter from the chairman

september 2005

Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to attach a copy of EUConsult’s new member recruitment brochure in PDF format to this September issue of the Information Service. Thanks again to you all for your feedback on this. I hope that you will remember to take a few copies with you to any sector events that you attend and please do forward a copy to any colleagues who you think might be interested in joining EUConsult.

It is very gratifying to see that so many of you have managed to contribute to this issue, in particular to the Members’ Activities section, despite it being the end of the holiday season. The diversity of your activities certainly reflects the diversity of the Association itself and makes for interesting reading.

In this issue we have taken the opportunity of interviewing our two new board members, who as you know were elected at the AGM in June:
• Fabienne Pouyadou of EXCEL and
• Ramses Man of Delphi Fondsen- en Ledenwerving.
Fabienne and Ramses will be attending their first Board Meeting in October. Take a look at the Member Profiles section to find out more about them and their organisations.

At this point I would like to warmly thank Marilyn Wyatt, who is stepping down from the Board, following her move to Prague. Marilyn has kindly offered to continue her support of our work in expanding EUConsult’s activities and membership in Central and Eastern Europe. And Marilyn’s move means that we now have our first member in the Czech Republic!

And finally, I would also like to thank members of EUConsult’s Cultural Group, especially Magnus von Wistinghausen and Richard Crossland. The Register of Speakers has proven to be a worthwhile exercise and I am sure it will be a useful tool for both Members and the Association.

With best wishes

David Saint
