European Third Sector Forum – Leadership in the Third Sector: ethics, creativity and innovation

EUconsult Italia, the professional association of consultants serving the Italian not for profit sector, will be hosting a one-day conference in Rome entitled “Leadership in the Third Sector: ethics, creativity and innovation”,  as part of the annual European Third Sector Forum.

The event, free of charge and open to a maximum of 100 participants, will be held on Tuesday 21st of May at Palazzo Altieri. It is an opportunity for those interested in the changes underway the Italian and European Third Sectors, to better understand potential leadership models and the role of technology and ethics in the Third Sector today.

There will be speakers from universities, civil society consultancies, civil society organizations and the Public Administration sector.

The first conference session, moderated by the vice president of EUconsult Italy, Antonella Giacobbe, is entitled “New leadership models: the importance of investing in people, technology and ethics”. Francesco Compagnoni, Professor of ethics at the University St. Thomas Aquinas Angelicum; Anna Lisa Mandorino, Deputy Secretary General of Cittadinanzattiva and Andrea Volterrani, Professor of Sociology of Social Communication and Non-Profit Organizations at the University of Tor Vergata will participate in the session.

A conversation about “The European experience” and international comparisons on models and trends will follow between Robin Brady, chair of the European organization EUConsult, and Francesca Zagni, president of Euconsult Italia.

Robin Brady commented saying “European Civil Society is experiencing significant change.  To be a leader in the Third Sector today means being able to ride the wave of change and still maintain your principles and focus on your mission.  Having the opportunity to reflect on leadership, technology and ethics in Civil Society is crucial if we are to manage change successfully.”

“Third Sector: technology for innovation and change” is the title of the third session dedicated to how new communications can affect the growth of the sector and the organizations operating there. Annalisa Lalumera, marketing and fundraising consultant, will lead a panel discussion with Gabriele Granato of 3d0 digital agency, Francesco Macioce from Commongrounds and a manager of Banco BPM.

A round table will follow entitled, ”Towards the future: successful leadership models” moderated by Paola Valeri of Coaching by Values ​​Italia with speakers Alessandro Valera, Director of Ashoka Italia, Maria Cristina Antonucci, professor of the University La Sapienza and Fabio Lenzi, Founder of Ideas & Networks for Social Enterprise – training manager, Anci.

Raffaele Picilli, EUconsult Italia will conclude the meeting with a round up of the day.
