Eva E. Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE, 2001-2016), is President and CEO of CFRE International in Alexandria, Virginia. CFRE International exists to uphold the public trust through voluntary certification of fundraising professionals. Through the CFRE credential, CFRE International supports and encourages fundraising professionals to aspire to the highest standards of professional competence and ethical practice in serving the philanthropic sector.

Prior to joining CFRE International, Aldrich was Associate Director of Public Service and The Fund Raising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. During her time at the Center on Philanthropy, she also served as Interim Managing Editor of Giving USA 2011, the annual report on philanthropy in the United States. Before that, Aldrich was a member of Johnson Grossnickle & Associates, an institutional strategy and fundraising consulting firm. At Johnson Grossnickle & Associates, she worked with clients on case statement development, feasibility studies, and foundation evaluation projects. Prior to joining Johnson Grossnickle and Associates, Aldrich was Assistant Professor of English and Director of the Writing Center at Franklin College. Aldrich has been widely published in fundraising journals and is one of the editors of Achieving Excellence in Fundraising, 3rd Edition, from Jossey-Bass. She earned a B.A. degree in English from Manchester College, North Manchester, Indiana; earned an M.A. in English from Indiana University; and earned a Ph.D. in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University.
