On March 26th, 2021, EUConsult held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) online.
The meeting was chaired by Francesca Mineo and covered a variety of topics.

Francesca Mineo, Jill Bonjean, and Mary O’Kennedy first presented an update on the strategy for EUConsult and informed members about upcoming activities and communication. The successful series of online sessions will continue monthly in two different formats, „Coffees“ for more informal discussions and „Spotlights“ for more focused presentation. Both are open to members and non-members free of charge. Highlight of the year will be the

30th Anniversary Conference of EUConsult
to be held
23-24. September 2021 in Milan, Italy.

The subject of the conference will be „Changes“ and the conference will hopefully be held offline, together with online access/streaming elements.

The treasurer Martin Georgi presented a financial report and financial outlook and the auditors confirmed that the bookkeeping was in order. The main challenge for the organisation is the need to grow our membership and increase participation at conferences. An increased presence and interaction with members on social media will be a key component of the organisation’s growth and development. The board was happy to announce that for the first time, a student intern had been recruited and welcomed Slaven Petković, who will concentrate on improving our social media as well as our website.

A highlight of the meeting was the election of two new board members: Aida Bećirović, Stiftung Schüler Helfen Leben (SHL), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Holger Menze, FRC Spenden Manufaktur, Germany. Martin Georgi was confirmed for another two-year term on the board, and Henk Smit, who has ended his mandate, was thanked by the chair for his service.

In closing, the members expressed their appreciation for the old and new board members for stepping up and volunteering and also thanked Denise Dawes, the Executive Secretary, for her work.
